I would like to take this opportunity to briefly introduce myself to you all now I have taken up the post of Head Coach, and to provide you with some background information and my coaching philosophy.

My name is Craig Prime and I am a UKCC Level 3 Senior Swim Coach and have a First Class Degree (with Honors) in Sport and Exercise Science, where I specialized in Nutrition and Psychology, specifically related to swimming and how both areas can have a great impact on performance results. I also have a keen interest in Land Training and how this can aid swimming performance, but also motivate the athletes.

I have been involved with swimming for the past 20years, firstly as a Swimmer with City of Peterborough then Staffordshire University, and for the past 6 years I have held various Head Coach & Assistant Coach Positions in and around the Cheshire & Chester Area. I have had experience with all levels of swimming from teaching the very young to coaching at International Level, including coaching James Briscoe to the 2012 European Junior Triathlon Title and 11th at the World Junior Championships.

I have also had the pleasure to coach swimmers to British and Irish National Medals, World Deaf Championship Finals, National Records and National Masters Titles in the Pool and Open Water.

I believe that for each swimmer to reach their full potential they firstly need a passion for the sport, become committed to the sport and to continuously develop their knowledge of the sport and themselves as an athlete. In order to achieve this I will develop a challenging and enjoyable environment to give the swimmers the opportunity and support to reach their full potential.

Keep Swimming.
